About Us
The History of Walthill Service
In July of 1983 Jerry and Kathy Sedivy moved to Walthill and purchased the Hrdy Welding business from Les and Ruth Hrdy. They opened J and K Repair shop, specializing in auto repair, welding, and radiator repair.
Elmer Sedivy, Jerry's father, joined the business in 1992 after the closure of Walthill Farm Equipment. When Elmer joined the staff they changed the name to Walthill Service and Supply. Together they worked to build a leading Ford tractor repair and restoration business. In September 2002 Jerry's brother David Sedivy joined the staff. In 2005 Jerry and Kathy purchased the former Campbell Manufacturing building and remodeled it into a retail farm and home center. The new space allowed them to carry a large line of both farm and home supplies, as well as gave them more space for the repair and restoration business. In August of 2002 they became the first Farmtrac Tractor dealership in the state of Nebraska. They then changed the name again to Walthill Service LLC. In 2010 the TYM tractor line was added. Lori Swizer helps customers with parts and supplies and Lowell Osborne helps assemble new products. Kathleen Hudec has been helping us with the bookkeeping part time since 2014.
